Client FAQ

Beginning speech therapy is a big step for your family, and we want you to feel confident every step of the way. This page answers common questions about getting started, what to expect during our sessions, and how we work together to support your child's unique voice.

How do we get started with services?

Getting started is simple! The first step is to book a free 15-minute consultation through our website. During this call, we’ll discuss your child’s needs, answer your questions, and determine if our play-based approach is the right fit for your family.

What does the evaluation process look like?

We conduct a comprehensive, child-centered assessment that honors all forms of communication. This usually involves play-based observations, parent interviews, and sometimes standardized tools, all aimed at identifying your child’s unique strengths and needs. This evaluation is typically 60-90 minutes in length. You will receive an evaluation report and treatment plan that will be shared with you at the first therapy session.

How long and frequent are the therapy sessions?

Sessions are in-home and 45 minutes, depending on your child’s individual needs, age, and/or energy levels. Frequency is determined based on the evaluation results, with most children benefiting from weekly or twice-weekly sessions to maintain steady progress.

What is the level of parent involvement?

Parent involvement is key! We believe you are the expert on your child. We provide coaching and strategies during sessions so you can support your child’s communication in natural, everyday settings, fostering faster and more meaningful growth. We will work together to create a home program and check in weekly to determine what is working and how we can continue to grow your child's communication skills.

Do you offer in-home or clinic sessions?

We specialize in pediatric home health, providing therapy in the comfort and familiarity of your own home. This environment allows children to feel more at ease and enables us to use their actual toys and routines to build communication skills. Therapy services can also be provided in daycare, at the park, wherever you are comfortable!

Do you accept insurance?

At this time, we are private pay only. We do not accept insurance. Payment is completed via the billing system and you will receive receipts and determine how you want to pay.

How is progress tracked for my child?

Progress is tracked via individualized goals that are meaningful to your child’s life. We provide regular updates and informal progress reports, ensuring you are always informed about your child’s communication successes and next steps.
